The original K2500 Performance and Reference manuals are offered in two forms: "Complete" and "by Chapter" versions. Below these links you will also find additional links for newer addenda and supplemental guides.

Complete Manuals

The entire Performance Guide, except for the Setup Mode chapter, can be downloaded in one zipped file. The Setup Mode Chapter from the Performance Guide has been left unzipped, because some of the graphics in that chapter seem to cause problems when the file is zipped.

When unzipped, both K2500 manuals require 24 meg of disk space. The two KDFX manuals require another 2.8 meg.

OS/Object File Updates

Please Note: There are two different sets of OS and Object files - one for units without the KDFX option, and one for units with the KDFX option. You need to be certain to install the correct OS and Objects for your particular unit.

For those of you unsure of whether you currently have KDFX, or even what KDFX is:

If you currently have version 4.0 or later of the OS, you have KDFX in your unit. If you have an earlier version, you do not have KDFX.

To check the operating system in your unit: version # is displayed in the bottom of the screen on power up (v#.##).

To check the Object files you currently have installed go to the MASTER mode and look at what appears for Intonation Tables 18-22. You may or may not have entries for all 5 locations depending on your current ROM Block configuration.

K2500 FARM Files

Below are links to all the various FARM files published for the K2500. (A FARM is a collection of extra programs/setups/effects/demos etc.). There are FARMS that require certain ROM blocks or options to be present and others that will load into any K2500.  Be sure to download only those files to which you have the corresponding ROM block and/or option installed.

Note: These FARM files are to be LOADED into RAM through Disk mode, NOT installed into Flash ROM via the Boot Loader menu.  For instructions on how to load files though Disk mode, please see your Musician's Guide Manual.
